About Sacred Heart Church

A story of faith, community, and enduring devotion in the heart of Manitoba's Parkland

Our Story

Sacred Heart Roman Catholic Church has stood as a beacon of faith in Roblin, Manitoba for generations. Located at 250 Spear Drive in the heart of this Parkland community, our parish has witnessed the joys, sorrows, and triumphs of countless families who have called Roblin home.

As a parish of the Archdiocese of Winnipeg, Sacred Heart Church is deeply rooted in the rich Catholic tradition that shaped western Manitoba. The early settlers of the Roblin area — farmers, tradespeople, and families from diverse European backgrounds, including a significant Ukrainian community — established places of worship that became the spiritual and social anchors of their new home on the Canadian prairies.

Throughout the decades, Sacred Heart Church has grown alongside the town of Roblin itself, adapting to serve the evolving needs of its parishioners while remaining faithful to the timeless teachings of Christ. From baptisms and first communions to weddings and memorial services, our church has been present at every milestone of community life.

Today, Sacred Heart Church continues this legacy under the guidance of Father Rene Katcha Digba, welcoming all who seek a place of worship, fellowship, and spiritual growth. Our registered charity status (CRA Registration: 119131118RR0001) reflects our commitment to transparency and service in all that we do.

Pastor, Sacred Heart Church

It is my great joy and privilege to serve as pastor of Sacred Heart Church here in Roblin. This parish is a true family — bound not only by faith, but by a genuine love for one another and for the community we call home. Every Sunday, when I look out at the faces gathered for Mass, I am reminded of the living presence of Christ among us.

I warmly invite you to experience the hospitality of our parish. Whether you are new to Roblin, returning to the Church, or simply curious about the Catholic faith, there is a place for you at Sacred Heart. Come as you are — you will find open hearts and open doors. Together, let us walk the path of faith, hope, and love that God has set before us.

Our Core Values

The principles that guide everything we do at Sacred Heart

Faith

Rooted in the teachings of Jesus Christ and the rich traditions of the Catholic Church, we seek to deepen our relationship with God through prayer, scripture, and the sacraments.

Community

We believe the Church is a family. Through fellowship, shared meals, and mutual support, we build meaningful connections that strengthen our parish and our town.

Service

Inspired by Christ's example, we reach out to those in need — visiting the homebound, feeding the hungry, and advocating for justice in our community and beyond.

Welcome

Our doors are open to everyone. We embrace diversity and extend hospitality to all who seek spiritual growth, comfort, or simply a place to belong.
